Gentle Yoga for people with MS or mobility & balance problems
A Warm Welcome
MS Yoga is a gentle yoga class that is specially adapted to be suitable for people with MS or any condition that impairs mobility and balance. St. Andrew’s Church and adjacent hall nestle on the edge of Richmond Park, amongst the trees close to Ham Gate on Church Road. We are a small, friendly class of both ladies and gents, all with different abilities. The 90 minute class led by Yoga teacher Rosa combines a series of stretching postures lying on the mat and standing balance postures (with the help of a chair for stability if required) to loosen up stiffness and strengthen muscles. If you prefer to do the whole class sitting in a chair, that is fine; our motto is, 'No Pressure'. You do not need to have any previous knowledge of yoga or Sanskrit and there is no pressure to do any posture you are not able to do.
